Highland Village Balloon Festival

Last weekend we went to a hot air balloon festival. We were supposed to watch them all take off at dusk but it was "too windy." So this was as "up" as they got before the owners gave up and put them away. Lame. Everyone knows it's windy at dusk and when the sun goes down it's not windy anymore. But no, they'd put all the balloons away by then. Oh well. It was still neat to see the huge baskets and huge amounts of fire coming out. The evening was still fun as there were carnival like booths set up. Elliott's highlight was getting a balloon of his own.

Actually he got three and they all popped but he didn't seem to mind.

Brian's highlight was ordering a funnel cake. He got it all to himself as it was fried in peanut oil.

My highlight was taking those pictures of my favorite boys.
