Visitors!

This past weekend my in-laws came for a quick visit! We had so much fun spending time together, eating out, and going to Brian's concert. I am so lucky to have the nicest in-laws in the world.

On Saturday we visited the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum in Independence, MO. It was very interesting. I really gained an appreciation of how hard his job was. Our country went through a lot when he was president and he made a lot of tough decisions.

On Saturday night we all went to Brian's big Wagner concert. A bit of musical trivia for you: Wagner invented an instrument called the Wagner Tuba that is used in his compositions and is played by horn players using a horn mouthpiece. That is what the back row is holding in this picture. Brian had several solos throughout the concert and he played them all so well. We are so proud of him!

It was a fast, fun weekend. They spoiled us so much, I didn't have to cook even once! Come again soon please!

thanks for the fun horn trivia--it's amazing how many little things there are to discover about a symphony!

"All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players: They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts" ...and in the wings of my stage, there is music.
