KCeaster

We didn't want to be depressed when Juliann went home so we drove across the state to visit KC for the first time since our departure. (This was our first trip with Lily and she pretty much slept the entire 5 hours.) We stayed with our friends Derek and Adrienne who have 2 kiddos who play so nicely with Elliott, or should I say, Iron Man.
We had the best time! We shopped at our favorite outdoor shopping area, ate at Wendy's (no Wendy's in St. Louis), met up with symphony friends, and church friends, Brian did some serious cycling, we drove by our old house, and had an amazing Easter feast! Adrienne even threw us a little party for church friends to come over and meet Lily! It makes me sad all those people aren't in my day to day life anymore. Moving really stinks, how you have to say goodbye to so many fantastic people.

Easter Sunday best! Somehow in the hustle and bustle of trying to make it to church on time, I neglected to get a picture of Lily in her Easter dress. Consider this post incomplete until I get one this Sunday to post and pretend like it was Easter.

On our way outta town we had some amazing Kansas City bbq. Here's a cute picture of their gal trying to feed Adrienne a fry!

We miss you KC peeps. Thanks for welcoming us back, if only for a weekend.

Oh, you beat me on my Blanchard blog post! Shoot! You know you could show up any time and we'd be thrilled. Nat has talked about Elliott non-stop, even praying for you guys every night. Thank you so much for coming and making our Easter weekend so awesome!!! We miss you guys too.
